Message from the Grand Counselor of New England

I want to take this opportunity to convey my appreciation and heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped me achieve my present position. From my father-in-law Roger Blanchard who started me on this journey through UCT until my arrival as Grand Counselor, it has been an exciting and fulfilling experience. It takes friends and family supporting and encouraging you all the way to be successful.

I hope this year will be a time for everyone to get in the driver’s seat as my theme suggests. To me that means everyone has the potential to become active and successful as a leader in the Grand Council of New England.

At this time I want to thank Brother Jim Walsh for the fantastic banner he created with my theme “Let Me Put You in the Drivers Seat”. What a great likeness! Even to the glare on top!!

For those who had the opportunity to attend the Supreme Convention in Austin, Texas, thank you for making me feel at home and not like a duck out of water (although there was a surplus of water to go around).

Finally I would like to thank my wife Cindy for being at my side every step of the way on this marvelous journey that has become UCT. She is not only my wife but my closest confidant and supporter. I could accomplish nothing without her love and support always.

Thanks again to all and God Bless!

Doug
